RPROPEL - Program for Promotion of Education and Leadership
PROPEL is a project focused on the development of 19 tribal students in education and leadership through long-term mentorship and guidance, with Vivekananda Learning and Development Foundation (V-LEAD) as the primary driving force. V-LEAD takes the lead in designing the academic programs, creating teaching modules, and developing assessment metrics. The project follows a three-tier system, consisting of a core team, mentors, and the project implementation team. Through mentoring camps, talent development, skill-building, financial support for academic training, and continuous follow-up, V-LEAD works to enhance students' social leadership skills and academic achievements over a period of at least 15 years. Expert mentors, guided by V-LEAD's academic framework, provide personalised support to nurture each student's potential.
Our partner
V-Lead is partnered with Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission (SVMM), a leading organisation dedicated to tribal empowerment in Attapady. Led by Dr. Narayanan V, also known as the "Ten rupee doctor," SVMM has been working in the region for 20 years and is providing PROPAL with financial support.
